Rotate swing arm hooks and attach VP500 pump to the footboard. Make sure that the power switch is in the off position. Plug the pump into the electrical outlet. |

Fully open the garment flap. Place the inflation bladder section against the base of the patient's foot, with the tube set connection facing upward at the toes.

|
Holding the garment in place, wrap the garment over top of the foot. |

Pull middle closure tab over the lower leg and firmly secure. |
|
Wrap the remaining material by pulling the tabs around the heel and firmly secure to the top of the foot. |
|
Repeat steps 2 through 5 for the other foot. Make sure the garment is smooth and properly fitted to each foot. |

Attached the tube set to the garment. You should hear a "click" when the tube set is properly attached. Pull back on the tube to ensure proper connection. |
|
Making sure the pump is still in the "OFF" position, attach the tube set to the pump by pushing the white connectors firmly into the pump outlets. You should hear a "click" when the tube set is correctly connected. Pull back on the tube to ensure proper connection. |
|
After assuring proper tubing connection to the pump, adjust the dial to the maximum pressure and turn the pump on. Check the garment for comfort and proper function. |
